Did no one actually read the article? They aren’t destroying the water lmao the purpose of the balls is to provide shade and prevent/delay the water evaporating in the heat so that there’s more water retained during this drought… and the FDA has declared the balls, which are made from polyethelyene a SAFE, non-BPA plastic material, safe and non-toxic. Yet, everyone is losing their shit about “breeding bacteria in the water.” Do you really think that no one would’ve researched that to make sure it wouldn’t happen before they dumped millions of these things into the main water supply for one of America’s hugest towns?
